6. Compensation:
- Room should be provided for two nights with breakfast included (if the hotel offers breakfast, if they don’t then this is not important).
- The room type doesn’t matter to us so much, although we usually prefer something average as most of our readers are not looking to stay in a “presidential suite” so for review purposes we actually like to enjoy a basic room.
- For a more full-service review, where the hotel has a restaurant we request one dinner for two. The food served is entirely up to you so whatever you want photos of on my site. Some hotels just want anything shown so let me pick, and some want a whole service or a specific star dish presented. We don’t care either way, it’s really up to what you want.
- We understand that every hotel’s capacity for compensation may differ, and we are open to discussing a mutually beneficial arrangement.
- On top of all this I charge a guest post fee to publish the post on my site. All of this said, none of this guarantees a good review. We do the stay, enjoy (hopefully) the food, and then write the review with our honest opinion and interpretation. We will talk about the pros and the cons and it will be fully unbiased. We do however give the property right of refusal, so we will send you the post text and if you don’t like what we have to say we won’t post it (we are not in the business of ruining reputations and we know sometimes an employee has a bad day or things just don’t work out). In the case you don’t want us to post it you don’t pay the posting fee.
