How To Get To Berehove By Public Transportation (The City Of Hot Springs And Wine)

Berehove is a small town located in Zakarpattia oblast. Berehove is mostly famous for its hot springs, and wine festivals. Because of the healthy quality of the water which is full of minerals, Berehove is a well-known (among locals) retreat. There are a few ways to get to Berehove using public transportation that you can check below.

How To Get To Berehove By Public Transportation

The easiest way to get to Berehove is by direct train (train #013) that you can take from Lviv (6 hours ride) or Kyiv (15 hours ride). Click here to check out the tickets

However, there are two inconvenient things about the direct train: the duration of travel, and the train schedule, since in Lviv you will have to get on the train at 2:38 am.

My advice for those who don’t like the previous offer is to take a train to Mukachevo (there are quite a few of them a day from Lviv and from Kyiv as well).

From Mukachevo To Berehove

At the Mukachevo bus station you can jump on a bus which goes to Berehove every 30 – 40 minutes all day long, starting from around 7 am until the late evening. The bus ride will take around 30 – 40 minutes, and it costs 62 UAH ($1,5) per person

It is also possible to take a taxi from Mukachevo to Berehove. It will cost you around 500 UAH ($15).

Here are two taxi apps that you can use to order a car in Mukachevo – “Такси Транзит Мукачево” (only cash), or “LimeJet drive” (you can pay with cash or card).

To take the bus better go to a bus station (looks more like a bus stop). The ticket back costs 60 UAH ($1,4) per person.

If you are planning on taking a taxi to Mukachevo, you can ask your hotel front desk to order one for you, check the taxi apps I mentioned earlier, or call the phone numbers from the picture below.
